CJC Pedigree Software is the creation of Cyril Chapman, the author of “Cyrillic 2”, once the most widely used pedigree drawing program for genetics professionals. Dr Chapman retired from the position of Clinical Director for genetics services in Birmingham and is now an Emeritus Consultant in Clinical Genomics at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford.

Thank you for your interest in ClinicalPedigree. Please be aware that although the program runs happily standalone, it is really designed to provide pedigree drawing for a number of users over a network using a common database. Use of the program is made a little easier if the system administrator has some understanding of databases (not much is required really).

Please read the getting started pdf file. An opportunity to do so is provided during the installation. The initial logon should be with user name “Admin” and password “Admin”. The intention is that the Admin password be changed at once and a general user account be set up.
